AUSA Social PTY LTD trading as Jawn Media ABN 68 638 583 481 (“Jawn Media,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to complying with the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (“Privacy Act”).
 
This privacy policy sets out how we collect, use, store, and disclose your personal information, and how individuals may access and correct personal information held about them.

Our goal is to make sure you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, it is disclosed. Your continued use of the Website and related social profiles and social media advertising placed by Jawn Media (“Collateral”), will be subject to the terms of the then-current Privacy Policy, which includes your consent to use cookies. We try and update our Privacy Policy regularly by posting a new version online at www.jawnmedia.co (“the Website”).
 
The types of personal information we may collect from you include:
your general personal details such as your name, gender, age, location, contact number, email address and postal address (when you provide this information to us); your location data in order to provide you with location-based services (only tracked through an opt-in process which most browsers and devices will notify you of - no location data will be collected without your authorisation being provided); demographic information such as your age, gender, and State or Territory residence; your financial or billing information (such as billing address, bank account, and payment information);  information on how you use our website, your product preferences, opinions and other personal preferences; your Internet Service Provider (ISP), operating system, browser information, Internet Protocol (IP) address or other device identifiers, and time/date stamp; your personal information from a third-party or from a publicly available source, but only if you have consented to your information being used in this way, or would reasonably expect us to collect it in this way, and then only from companies or sources that are allowed to disclose the information to us.   
Why do we collect, use, and disclose your personal information?

provide you with the products, services or information that we supply;  communicate with you, and build and maintain our relationship with you; improve your experience by analysing usage and making changes to structure, design and content; contact you if you have submitted an enquiry form or made other contact with the contact person named on the Collateral; identify and develop new products and services you may be interested in; serve you follow-up advertising via remarketing and retargeting technologies available from Google, Facebook and other third-party providers; comply with applicable laws and our other regulatory, accounting, reporting or professional obligations; protect, exercise or defend our legal rights; and process and respond to your requests, enquiries, or complaints. We may also use your information to perform analytics (on a de-identified basis) to:
improve our products and services; conduct, monitor and analyse our business and internal operations; measure and improve our marketing campaigns;  send you updates, publications, marketing, and new product or service offerings (however, if you do not want to receive marketing emails from us, you can opt-out at any time using the contact details set out below). We may collect personal information from you when:
 
User contact forms
 
When you fill out a contact form on our Website, we will collect that information and use it to get in touch with you in response to your query. We may use the information to reach out to you to inform you of some of the services we provide, provided it is in line with your original query.
 
Mailing list
 
If you sign up to one of our mailing lists, this means that you have opted-in and have consented to us sending you emails relating to the services or products we provide as a company. Don't worry, we won't spam you. We send all emails as per the guidelines set out by the Australian Communications and Media Authority.
 
Credit card payments including PayPal
 
If you make a credit card payment on our website, please be aware that in some instances your credit card details may be made fully available to us so that we can process your payment. You can rest assured that we destroy all credit card information the moment the payment has gone through.
 
If you pay on our website through a payment service such as PayPal, then we will only receive basic information and confirmation of payment. We will not have any access to your credit card details as these are handled by a third-party payment provider, in line with their terms of use.
 
What we collect and receive from others:
 
3rd party commenting (Disqus, Livefyre, IntenseDebate, Google+ etc)
Where your personal information is contained in a user-generated post or in a communication through a third party commenting system, please be aware that the comment may become, and remain public.
 
Social Network widgets and buttons (Pinterest, Twitter etc)
By clicking or using any social network widgets on our website, you understand that you do so in accordance with the terms and privacy policy of those services. 'Liking' or 'Following', and content posted using these widgets, may become visible to your social network.
 
Maps/Video and other embedded content
Embedded content such as Google Maps, YouTube videos etc. is embedded or placed on our website - it is not hosted on our servers and therefore any interaction with such services is done so in accordance with their privacy policy.
 
Analytics and Advertising tools
We may use your personal information to deliver advertising that is more customised or relevant to your interests or location. This does not mean that you will receive more ads, it simply means that we will do our best to make them relevant and tailored to your interests. What we collect from your online activity:
 
On the Collateral, we use cookies and other digital identifiers that fall into the following three categories:
 
Site performance indicators: These give us information on how our website is used, so that we can make the necessary improvements or amendments to make your experience better. Analytics Cookies: These give us the statistics to understand how many people are on our website, which areas are popular and which areas we need to work on. Advertising Cookies: We use these cookies to understand what type of advertising would be better suited to someone like you. That way, you would receive ads that are more likely to be relevant to you.  
Cookies:
We use cookies to compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction. The browser you are using will receive a cookie from our advertising tools, and if enabled to do so, those tools will collect information including your physical location by city, how you arrived on the site (i.e. direct, referral, organic paid). This data is anonymized until you contact the person named on the Collateral. (See below for more about the information we collect from your online activity).  You can always disable the use of cookies by changing the security settings of your browser, and you can opt out of several networks by using the Network Advertising Initiative Consumer Opt-Out page. However, please bear in mind that this may affect how some items are displayed on our Website or other Collateral.  
Direct Marketing
 
When it comes to direct marketing, no one likes being spammed. At Jawn Media, we may use your personal information to send you advertising that is customised to your interests, characteristics, or general location.
 
Opt-out: As with all direct marketing correspondence that you receive from us via email, there is always an unsubscribe button or link located at the bottom of the email. With this you can manage which messages you receive from us.
 
Cross-border Disclosure of Personal Information
 
Some of your personal information may be stored with or disclosed to other entities overseas (who are not in Australia or an external Territory) who are direct partners that assist us in providing our service. Furthermore, each Jawn Media employee, contractor, or agent must abide by this policy. However, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information. The Internet is not a secure environment. If you do use the Internet to send us any information, including your email address, please be aware that it will be posted at your own risk.
 
Privacy of children
 
We do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years of age or older.

At Jawn Media, we do everything we can to keep your personal information accurate. If you request access to your personal information or ask us to correct or update information about you, we may need to verify your identity. Please bear in mind that under Australian privacy laws, there may be situations where we cannot provide access to such personal information. For instance, if it would reasonably affect someone else's privacy or may pose a threat to someone's life, health, or safety.
 
When no longer required or requested by you, all personal information is destroyed in a secure manner, unless required by law.
